black arowana 422 IOS making a lot of flushing noise Please help

Im using a 422 with sump tank. The pvc pipes in the ios is making so much flushing sound when sucking in the water. Any recommendations from expert here is greatly appreciated!

Does your overflow chamber come with an egg crate above the water line? If so, the 2 most common things people do is fill the water filled portion up with bio balls then place a filter wool above that egg crate which is above the waterline. I know theres another filter wool at the sump into the 1st chamber, but it also helps to double filter the dirt in the water. The sound will be greatly reduced after. Why bio balls? Easy to remove wash should you decide to do maintenance in the IOS. Buy those larger ones not the small ones. This will certainly help solve the sound issue
>Must I still put those wool filter if I put in bioball? u mean put the egg wool filter on the egg crate? sorry im a bit confused. Have diagram to show... many thanks
>When water splashes onto water, it will make sound. The wool above bio ball is to prevent food scraps from flowing over into the compartments getting stuck in the bio balls. Will lead to planaria if left unchecked. If you want to try, you can put bio balls first and hear the sound reduction. Remember, DO NOT place any bio balls above water level or it will breed midgets too. Now if you also place an additional piece of wool above the bio balls held by the egg crate, then, the sound will be even reduced to such a level it is almost gone. Not sure about your IOS setup, maybe can take a pic to show? A bit hard for me as I got everything covered by the wool I mentioned. Sorry
>Okay bro, please view pics for your reference of the IOS layout from bottom up.
1st layer (bottom) - bio balls (remember below water line)
2nd layer (middle) - egg crate
3rd layer (top) - filter wool
